Cynthia Goldberg, Director
For over 10 years Cynthia Goldberg has been a tireless champion of those in need of a second chance—advocating for more just legislation, supporting community action, participating in educational programming, testifying before MA legislative committees, and as Founding Director of The F8 Foundation, helping formerly incarcerated individuals, and their families, as they acclimate back into society.
In addition to directing The F8 Foundation, Cynthia is the Executive Director for the Campaign to End Life Without Parole (CELWOP) and serves on the boards of: New Beginnings Reentry Services, Ronald A. Burgess Jr. Foundation, Inc. (a youth at risk program), We are Joint Venture, Inc., and BRODI—a Black Rights Organization Dismantling Inequities. She is a member of a coalition in support of the Massachusetts Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act, former President of the Criminal Justice Policy Coalition, and former Board Member of Dress for Success, Worcester. Cynthia lectures frequently at universities, churches, and long-term treatment programs and has testified before the Massachusetts Judiciary Committee numerous times on behalf of ending life without parole, the Mass Second Look Act, and parole supervision reform. Through incarceration, parole, and probation, Cynthia gave 14 years of her life to the system and is now a dedicated advocate, speaking through the voice of experience.
